I made this University of Texas Cross in my Texas Woodshop. It measures 8" across, and has a height of 11". It's 3/8" thick. I burned the wood to bring the woods natural color out. I then applied the UT emblem in the center.
Now comes that glaze coating. I applied the glaze fairly thick over the entire cross. The cross was placed inside curing ovens until complete. After sanding smooth, I polished the item. Does not have a hanger on back side, as I wanted to allow the winner to place a small hanger themselves, anywhere the wish. If your a UT fan, this is for you. It's unique, and almost impossible to find.
