Think Saint Patrick's Day! My great-grandmother brought this family recipe over from Ireland in the 1800's. It is an easy to make (no yeast) Irish recipe and delicious. It can be baked in a plain loaf pan or a bundt pan and decorated.

I have made this using this recipe since I was kid and everyone loves it! It makes the best Irish Whiskey Cake you've ever tasted! My family has enjoyed this recipe for generations and I make it now with my grandchildren. This is a family recipe that has been handed down and it has not been published anywhere. I really should write a cookbook using these old family recipes, which have been handed down from generation to generation, but in the meantime I will be putting them on Listia.
