The listing, Johnny's Cafe Newport, KY 5 cent token coin has ended.
This old coin reads on one side "Johnny's 5c Cafe" and on the other side "11th and Brighton 5 cent Newport." The coin pictured isn't the actual coin, but the only difference is the "11" is hard to make out on the one up for auction. I wish I knew the age on this baby, but I don't have a clue. Free shipping.
I live in central KY and Newport is in northern KY, and I see them from time to time. I've got two of these and a different aluminium Johnny's cafe as well.
No. It's in between. It's right on the river near Cincinnati, OH. It was probably a thriving city back it the coins era, because it sits right on the river. However, it's still of decent size for Kentucky towns.
