Because of the question about bangs I asked my daughter and yes she cut her hair. I got melted candy some kinda way.

This particular doll is Gia of Florence Italy, made by Karito Kids, and I think from the Hearts-to-Hearts line, but I am not 100% certain about that. There are several dolls in the series representing various countries/cultures. When purchased new, they come with a code. The concept is to help children, girls in particular, learn about other cultures and participate in charities. I am guessing that the code is unavailable for this doll since it is not new. But frankly, she is beautiful and will make a wonderful for a girl to love and play with.

I love that you have taken the time to find these things out ! She was purchased for my daughter by a friends grandmother. Gia was chosen because we are Italian :) Hint: Pirello :) ( ends in a ends in o you know ) So,yes we were aware of her origins and yes she is a lovely doll with much play and love to give . Thank you very much. She is 3 inches taller than American Girl dolls. Her body style is the same as the "friends" line of Madame Alexander. Yes with close to the same waist circumferance, she could easily wear the same clothing though the length of items would be short. She is a beautiful doll.
