It can be grown as a house plant or in Southern States it can be grown in the ground.. It gets a long stalk that gets small light green flowers on the end. The plant loves being outside in the summer. Keep dirt moist but don't over water. As the plant gets bigger small bulbs( the babies) grow on the side of the mother bulb. The picture of the plant is my actual pregnant onion plant taken a year ago.. I have many babies but each winning bidder will get 2 babies from me.
