The listing, VINTAGE REAL FOX FULL LENGTH COAT has ended.

Vintage Real Fox Fur Coat Full Length. Size is an 8/10. It wil fit a smaller busted 12. I'm a 14 and is tight in the shoulders and bust bur will close. Hook Closures.
Chevron styling on the Pelts are Indicative of th e Era of the Coat.

Please keep in mind this coat is over 30 years old. It is in fair condition for it's age. It has wear on the elbows and snags, scratches, and a few stains on the lining. Most of the are near the hem from high heeled shoes getting caught. The Fur Pelts are in good condition as it has been kept in climate controlled storage. It is a little nappy, but it may be brushed out a little to look better.

The full name of the original owner is still embriodered in the lining.

This coat has been previously loved for many years. It has a few flaws, but if you are looking for a warm coat, you have found one.

I auctioned a mint, never worn once terri lewis coat i bought from HSN when i first got here on listia a year ago and even offered free shipping and only got 7027 credits =( i was so sad to see it go and i cant believe the lady got it and didnt even give me feedback i was overwhelmed with sadness, that coat was never even tried on, it looked something like this but had striped shorter cut hair in between the fur it cost so much and i paid over 22.00 to ship it and even sent her a 20 dollar gift card because i was new and wanted to make a good impression so i sent her a 20 dollar gift card for red lobster in a nice card and said thanks wear this out to a nice dinner with some of the tab being on me, and she didnt even give me feedback and i contacted her and asked her if everything was okay and she said yeah i love the coat and i said well can you please leave me a feedback and she never did, I hope you have better luck than i did i blocked her, her name was julia or julie viada i am still upset about that, and it just happened to me again with a high dollar smartphone i sent the guy a 35.00 airtime card and said here congrats enjoy using your phone right away with this card and he didnt leave me feedback either, I just can't believe people can be so mean when they know we look forward to the feedback on the high dollar items, it's so rude, Well wishing you good luck with this it's beautiful Sorry for rambling on but it just brought me back to that day =(

Thanks for your time answering my questions. Its funny...ppl list coats on here as "fur coats " & then when I ask them what type of fur I get a snappy answer of "foe"...lol instead of faux as well as an ethics lesson from a PETA member about how awful I am. Lol mind you most of the furs I use are older than I am and all are at least second hand.
I'm all about animals...we have 3 dogs and a ferret and ive even had a pet mink. However nothing I do will change the fur industry. Its been there for years and will be for many more. So I sincerely thank you for being so nice and so adult about your auction. =)

Not a problem. I try to answer everybody as truthful and honest as I can. I don't want to misrepresent what I am selling. Nor do I want anyone to be unhappy with their purchase. I know what you mean with the "fur" I bought a muff and they actually thought it was real fur, when it looked like a teddy bear! How was the mink as a pet? We had a rogue mink find it's way into the house the first winter in our new house and I couldn't wait till we got it out because it smelled soooo bad! Wow this is just what I need to finish my fox blanket. I recycle old coats into fur blankets which are so luxurious & warm. Are the pelts shedding or stiff? Thanks for your time & good luck with your auction. =)

That would be a great use for this coat. The pelts are still pretty supple. The coat does shed a little in the car on the seat, but other than that, you can run your hand through without any shedding. Thanks for viewing! Lisa

I owned a vintage clothing store for many years, & even sold clothes & estate jewelery to the dressers & set designers in Hollywood. This is the real deal, for certain. 25 years ago I would have rented this out for about $60.00 a night, since costume rental was part of my business, and a big success with college kids who wanted to go to 'period' parties, and couldn't afford to purchase. I would have sold this for around 750.00. I had a raccoon coat very similar to this that I made one phone call & got 1200.00 for!
I am so excited to see such nice things being listed on here more & more!
You will get far beyond my credit budget for this beautiful vintage fur coat, but I am glad for you.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone doesn't realize the value & snap it up at the GIN!

If it is real fur this is a very old coat that probably won't "stick" for long. Meaning the shedding will be horrible. Not properly tanned or dyed.

I had a antique Racoon in High school. I wore it to school, then didn't see it till the end of the day most times. I shared it, I had kids say is it my turn yet lol I was always offered money on the spot for it in the "70's" There is nohing like a fur coat. And I am a pet owner & pet lover, But like she said ~ it was already made & lasting, 20 something years when I got it. It waa so warm! Very nice auction!

Unfortunately, there are no tags. I can assure you this this is real fox fur. It was traded back to the furrier on a new coat, which Is where I got it. Thanks for viewing, Lisa.
