While with every candy item i sell some may get tacky or squishy from heat, gummi bears when still "fresh" will maintain a squish to them and even a fruity smell. With time they will harden and the smell will go away. That does not mean the candy has gone bad, that is the sealant strengthening with age.
Do not eat the candy it is not edible.
