Description

The listing, Alstroemeria Seeds-Bright Yellow, 25+ has ended.

Up for bid are 25 (or more) seeds from my own Alstroemerias. These are also known as Peruvian Lilies.

I absolutely love these flowers. They last sooooo long as cut flowers, and bloom like crazy in my garden. Here in western Washington they bloom from mid spring until very late summer. I cut them down to the ground each fall and they come back every year. The lush foliage is thick and beautiful.

Have u plant this from seeds before and if so, how long does it takes to germinate ? I thought it usually grown by tubers.

My original 2 plants were tubers. They have spread by seed from one isolated flower bed to another. The original tubers took about a year to really get going. Now this flower is almost unstoppable. I know it is spreading by seed because the original planting is in an area surrounded by our concrete patio, and I get starts coming up between the slabs! I don't think they take long to germinate. The seeds are not the itsy bitsy tiny ones. They are about half the size of a peppercorn, and larger seeds tend to germinate more quickly. You can ask Lazlo, the other commentor, as he already won some!
