This is a wonderful old clock. In super condition.
The glass is near perfect condition.
The metal is not scratched or dented.
It hangs down 19" and the face is about 8"
The face is glass--the rest of it is some kind of metal.
It hangs down with a sturdy braided rope, giving it a nautical theme.
It takes a "C" battery.
The movement says, tochigi tokei corp ltd, no jewels, unadjusted, pat pend. Quartz
It is stamped "Germany" at the bottom.
The brand name is Mayak or Majak, I think.
It's very hard to read and that is the best I could come up with. It's some kind of foreign writing.
There is no writing on the back.
As for the age--I'm guessing 50's or 60's.

I am no expert on clocks.
If there is anyone out there who knows about these clocks, I welcome your comments.
I have spent several hours looking at clocks, on the web, and on ebay, and I have found a couple that are similar to mine.
One was Russian and the other one was German.

I found this clock at the Goodwill store. Rescued it--took it home and put a battery in it. It's been over a week now and it is keeping perfect time. I love the "clock noise" it makes, ticking off the seconds.
This clock has no alarm and it does not chime.

As usual, all of my packages are packed well and sent in a timely manner.
