This has never been worn, still has original box, and a perfect gift for someone with an October birthday! The inside of box says "October rose zircon, born leader, loves nature, and musical" Layered in 18kt gold, genuine austrian crystal. The necklace had 17 gems, alternating between rose and opal. It is gold plated, I don't know too much about it. I'm not a big jewelery person, I don't wear anything except one necklace and my wedding ring...but I did take it to a jeweler and he said it is gold plated.
