The listing, Crochet Lite Lighted Crochet Hook Size H has ended.
This is a nifty lighted crochet hook! It's size H (5mm). It lights up nice and bright and you can actually crochet in the dark with it if you wanted to (I did one evening when the power was out!) It's especially useful when crocheting black or very dark yarn and helps to see the stitches. I've shows some pictures of it lit up lying on my desk and against some dark purple yarn.
The downside to this hook is in personal preference. It has a Boye-style hook, with a shallow throat. I prefer a Bates-style so it slowed down my crochet. The handle of the hook is flat and it's actually very comfortable to hold. There's a rubber grip right where my fingers rested and it feels great! But I tend to roll my hook when I crochet so a flat handle isn't as nice for me. If you are a knife-hold type crocheter, or you don't roll your hook a lot, this would be fantastic for you I think.
I've only used it a couple of hours. I've spoken to several other people who own these hooks and they tell me the battery lasts a good long time. The battery is replaceable and it says on the handle that it uses a G3-A battery. There is an on/off switch on the side, and you can see the battery door in the picture.
Overall the hook is 6.25 inches long, with the actual hook portion being 2.5 inches long. The handle is 5/8 inches wide at the widest point and about 5/16 inches thick. It is surprisingly lightweight.
