Description

The listing, The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri has ended.

When Dante loses his way on the path of life, he finds himself on a journey through hell, purgatory, and heaven.

Dante Alighieri was born in Florence Italy in 1265. In 1301, a political dispute lead to his exile from Florence. Over the next few years he made his home in Verona, Lucca and other cities. By 1310 he had written Inferno and Purgatorio, the first two books of his Divine Comedy. He wrote the third and concluding book, Paradiso, in the years after he found sanctuary in Ravenna in 1318. An allegorical account of his wanderings in a spiritual wilderness and eventual salvation under the guidance of his beloved Beatrice, The Divine Comedy is recognised as Dante's masterwork and a landmark of world literature. He died in exile in 1321 and was buried in Ravenna.

How do I pay them 20% of credits?" - Credits have a dollar value (X amount of credits cost X amount of dollars to purchase) so receiving credits equates to receiving money. It is essentially just a new currency, used only on Listia. I calculate the dollar value of what is received and pay the cash equivalent of 20% to Gutenberg. Doing it any other way is illegal.

Your welcome =) The winning bidder will receive a digital copy of this book in 3 different formats for your convenience: .pdf, .epub & .mobi

A file with the .MOBI extension can only be used on a "Kindle" device, not a computer.

A file with the .EPUB extension is an Open Publication Structure eBook file. There are a bunch of free "ebook reader" programs that you can download and install on your computer to open the .EPUB file and read this book.

A file with the .PDF extension is a Portable Document Format. There are several free programs online that you can download & install to open .pdf files. (There are also several programs for your smart phone that will let you keep & read .pdf books on your mobile device)

This is a link to a bunch of free programs called .PDF Viewers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PDF_software#Viewers_5

I recommend that you go to this website and download Adobe Acrobat Reader: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Once you install Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, you will be able to open the .pdf file and read your book instantly.

BTW, Most computers will already have one of these programs installed on it. So, I would first recommend just trying to open it before installing anything new. If Windows cannot locate a program to open the file, then Adobe Acrobat Reader is the way to go (Unless your drawn to one of the other programs available).

You can get what he is selling for free from the website he has linked. All of the books he sells on Listia are free. Here is a quote from the website. "Our ebooks are free in the United States because their copyright has expired. They may not be free of copyright in other countries. Readers outside of the United States must check the copyright laws of their countries before downloading or redistributing our ebooks. We also have a number of copyrighted titles, for which the copyright holder has given permission for unlimited non-commercial worldwide use."

Yes, (as I have said numerous times before) These books are available Free via Project Gutenberg. You can go there and download them yourself, or you can help generate money to support Project Gutenberg by bidding on them here on Listia.

I calculate the appropriate percentage of the total funds raised and send a cash royalty payment to Project Gutenberg.

You can get the books either way, but if you choose option #2 you help more than just yourself.

So once again, Thank You all for promoting literacy and supporting Project Gutenberg.
