10 Mammoth Russian Seeds !!!

Planting:
If possible choose a site in full sun. In most areas, wait till danger of frost is over. Sunflowers are a long season crop. Germination is 7 to 14 days. and full growth takes 60 to 90 days. You can plant directly into the soil. Soak the seeds overnight and plant them in warm soil about 24 inches apart. Cover the seeds with a light cover of soil, about a half inch, and water them. If you plant closer together you may need to thin them. In this case you could transplant some of the plants when about 4 inches high to another location. As they are such a tall plant they need plenty of room. The Mamouth" or "Russian" sunflower grows 6 to 12 feet tall.

15 Honey Ball Seeds !!!

You get over 25 Marigold Seeds !!
Planting
Marigolds need lots of sunshine.
Though they grow in almost any soil, marigolds thrive in moderately fertile, well-drained soil.
Sow them directly into the garden once the soil is warm, or start seeds indoors about a month to 6 weeks before the last spring-frost date.
The seeds germinate easily, but watch out for damping off if you start them inside.
Separate seedlings when they are about 2 inches tall. Plant them in flats of loose soil, or transplant them into the garden.
Space tall marigolds 2 to 3 feet apart; lower-growing ones about a foot apart.
If planting in containers, use a soil-based potting mix; during growing season, water freely and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer weekly.

The Buttonbush(honey ball seeds) is a fragrant woody shrub with ball shaped flower heads that are very unique! They are great near ponds and streams, and water birds such as ducks enjoy eating their seeds. They are also a host plant for the Sphinx Moth and a nesting site for song birds. As if that is not enough, they also attract HUMMINGBIRDS!

Love them :)

Cephalanthus occidentalis, Honey ball Bush is an attractive large woody shrub with
showy, fragrant ball-shaped flower heads.
Does not demand any large amount of water. Ours is very hardy.
They can grow to 6 feet to 8 feet or more. You can trim them to any height.
You can use this to have the seeds germinate:
A pretreatment of MOIST, COLD (40F) for 4-6 weeks. Use a snadwich baggie or similar.
When they germinate, then lightly cover the seed, soil temp 65-70F
Then plant your Honey ball Bush shrubs in a sunny soil.
The fragrant flowers are a favorite nectar source for butterflies and bees.
Cephalanthus occidentalis Bush shrub provides excellent nesting area for songbirds.
You can winter sow them and have them come up as nature would.
Generally plant them as deep as the seed size.
You can plant them 18" apart or where you want them to grow.
We have not seen any invasive properties to the bush.
For the first year after they start growing, be sure to water regularly, watering at least once a week.
