Description

The listing, Several Basil Varieties-AMETHYST,GREEN PEPPER,OPAL,BLUE SPICE,RED RUBIN and NEW GUINEA has ended.

Now is the time to start your basil plants, grow them with tomato and pepper plants and they help ward off damaging insects, and the fragrance is really nice too!
The pics are so darn small that I cannot tell for sure if the first pic is of Red Rubin basil or something else BUT the Green Pepper basil really does taste just like green pepper and when prices are so high on them, this basil will fit the bill! I wasn't sure if it was as viable as other basil but I planted seeds to this and they are coming up. Blue Spice has a taste of vanilla and basil, Red Rubin is a beautiful plant with red leaves but I cannot remember the taste but I know it's good or I wouldn't grow it. Opal is also another absolute beautiful plant to grow with a wonderful taste but will say ALL Opal basil seeds you buy will have some come up green, you will want to pull those out and keep the purple ones. New Guinea is my favorite! I love the colors to the leaves and I enjoyed it so much I didn't want to eat the leaves so I let it just grow...it is so beautiful!!!
I am offering at least 30 seeds, but will do more of Blue Spice,New Guinea and Opal

I was so happy especially happy to see the green pepper basil sprout. That really amazed me at the flavor, just like green pepper with basil overtones. This to me saves so much money at the store and not having to pay such high prices for green peppers in winter.

What a great idea! If I do more fishing this year, I will try this...thanks asw! I usually just grill them with butter and some seasonings and had not thought of using basil.

I do like fish and shrimp...oh yea! Just haven't cooked fish lately, there is a spice that is so good with fish that I use, already made up from Emeril's Essence. But your suggestion on the lemon basil and dill....I have to try that! :) :) :)
