oh and i Fanned you also. am also into making things and being "prepared", well we know what it means, my dad operates the machinery I cant, i certainly would try but he's afraid i'll saw off a foot. haha... NIce auction, and i'll be looking at yours in the future or as you said your on ebay and the like. Fan me if you'd like to. Thanks.
i've seen it around, i'm wondering how strong it really is, i've seen some stuff on the net about some types being stronger than other (having more strings twined together or what not), im just wondering how strong this one is and what you can actually do with it? I have various tree climbers rope but if anybody knows, that can be VERY heavy. Anyways have seen it on ebay and the like and have wondered about it, THank you for any info.
Hi Toriswrrl27. If you search Para cord on Youtube there are 10's of thousands of videos on it. One of the better ones is http://youtu.be/7uXSHiIytZU.
The strength Of 550 7 strand Para cord is 550 lbs. It is not "rated" for any climbing activities. Although it would more than hold the average man easily, if it's not rated for climbing, dont use it for climbing. Besides its strength, 550 Para cord has those 7 inner strands that are made of two more strands. These strands can be removed nd used for thousands of things from making emergency fishing line to sewing even Dental floss! Personally, if I could only take 2 tings with me to survive in the wilderness, it would be a knife and a can of Para cord. Thanks for the "Fan" I will do the same. :-)
