this is a cool e-reader that i won on here. i decided to get a tablet so i don't need it anymore. unfortunately it didn't come with the charger, but one can easily be had on e-BAY.

Do you need a disk? Can upload/download stuff to read?

you can use kobo to buy books or just hook it up to land drag and drop. i didnt need any software.

I have this same e Reader. It's a quality Sharper Image product, and it works well.

it is a good reader. it's just that my laptop took a crap so i bought a tablet. no need for this now.
