The listing, 1930's Art Deco Ring has ended.
This is a vintage Art Deco rhinestone ring from the early 1930's. No Rhinestones missing, metal is tarnished. Band is hallmarked NEMCO. I tried to show the markings in the last photo.
This ring belonged to my Grandmother and is a size 5 &1/4. Needs to be cleaned but still in awesome shape.
oh my GOD i love this ring! I want it!!!! LOL Fanned and watching... I dont have enough credits to even make a bid, but whomever wins this ring will be very lucky!
Good Morning krystaldowns1..You brought joy to my life when I read your comment. Thank you so very much for fanning & watching..I too don't have enough credits yet to get what I'm anxious for..heh heh..
Waving back..to you Sweetie!! Thank you so much for coming by and commenting..lol. I have been figuring out how to list more and still offer free shipping..ROFL! It's great to see you here..Blessings dear girl and tons of hugs too!!
Tip: if it's silver you'll be able to tell instantly. Just rub it gently with common toothpaste (I use Colgate) and then wash it. I had a twenty year old bracelet that looked really tarnished until I did that. I was going to sell it, but then I saw that it looked as nice as the day it was made!
Awhile ago someone on Listia said the same thing. I'm not touching it to clean I'd rather leave that to the new owner..lol Thank you so much for commenting~~~
Hi Hun. I looked up Nemco and it is a hallmark/ The maker or brand of the ring. They specialized in Nothing but art deco style rings. Most of what was made of Brass or silver. The ones i researched that were silver were not stamped with any silver stamp (Just Nemco). Even the Brass. So if it is gold color it is brass. Hope this helps.
Oh thank you toriwatkins1979! This ring is a bit tarnished and I don't want to clean it. If it was Brass wouldn't a magnet stick to it? My magnet doesn't stick at all. The back side looks like Silver to me. Maybe it is solid Brass??
Thank you so much for the information!! Blessings to you Sweetie!!
F&W. this is a great piece to add to my collection. I have several pieces of my grandmothers and I just love them. Thank you for the opportunity to win one of your nice pieces!
I bet your Grandmothers jewelry is stunning, Sweetie! I never could figure out why they all had such small ring sizes; when I know my Grandmother was such a hard worker. I have work horse hands..lol..
Thank you Jdesjarlais for the comment. Love that you fanned and are watching! I too love the older pieces that my relatives had. Sure wish they would fit me..lol. Blessings to you!
Thank you shortshow for commenting. Glad you stopped by. Yes, this ring is unique and so pretty. I do think jewelry made in the 30's shows great craftsmanship. Blessings to you...
