The listing, 1969 Topps baseball card lot w/ Jerry Johnson RC has ended.
Here's a lot of eight (8) vintage 1969 Topps baseball cards (NOT reprints). Condition varies, but I'd say these are "good" for the most part. Neat bit of history, but if you're picky about condition, this is not the auction for you.
JERRY JOHNSON (P, Phillies) had a nice 1971, helping the Giants reach the playoffs and finishing 6th in Cy Young voting behind Fergie Jenkins, Tom Seaver, Al Downing, Dock Ellis, and Bob Gibson. This is his rookie card.
OLLIE BROWN (OF, Padres) had his best season in 1970 when he hit .292 with 23 home runs with 89 RBI.
RAY SADECKI (P, Giants) pitched for 18 years, his best being 1964 when he won 20 games plus Game 1 of the World Series with the champion Cards.
FELIX MILLAN (2B, Braves) was a 3-time All-Star (1969, 1970 & 1971) and 2-time Gold Glove Winner (1969 & 1972), splitting his career between Atlanta and the Mets.
DAVEY JOHNSON (2B, Orioles) was a 4-time All-Star (1968-1970 & 1973) and 3-time Gold Glove Winner (1969-1971) before becoming a successful manager.
JOHN DONALDSON (2B, A's) played for 6 years, mostly with Oakland.
GERRY ARRIGO (P, Reds) played for a decade, pitching a couple one-hitters in his career.
ROY FACE (P, Tigers) was a 3-time All-Star (1959-1961) and was on the champion Pirates team of 1960. In '59, his incredible 18-1 record helped him finish 7th in NL MVP voting behind Ernie Banks, Eddie Mathews, Hank Aaron, Wally Moon, Sam Jones, and Willie Mays. This is his final card.
Condition-wise, the Dave Johnson is in the worst shape, otherwise not so bad for 44 year-old cards.
