Oh my gosh!!! I have to have this! My husband had "an incident" with an armadillo once and now he gets various armadillo items for his birthday as a running joke. Luckily, the armadillo came out worse than the hubby did.... "good times"..lol. Awesome auction!!! F & W/B. :)

wyldaeval, what was the "incident" with the armadillo? I think there's a good story here. They look so docile, but let me tell you they will rip your hand off if you try to pet one. hahahahaha I had an "incident" with one once too. They are cute but they don't like to be petted.

first time i ever saw one we scared the heck out of each other i was in fla. going down outside stairs almost dark but not quite. i saw it and sreamed and backed up the stairs faster than i was going down. the poor armadillo got so scared he rolled himself in a ball and played dead. my friends came running out and stood there laughing so hard thought they would never stop.

Armadillo stories: When I was about 7 (WAY TOO LONG AGO) my grandparents came from Wisconsin to visit. We went out the San Jacinto Monument, and daddy got to chasing an armadillo. He a friend chased and chased that crazy thing. Finally they caught it and tried to bring it up to the window of the car to show my grand dad, who started it all when he asked, "What a HUGE rat!" I grandmother had fits and screamed, and my grand dad kept saying, "No! No! Take that rodent away!" I don't think daddy ever told him he wasn't a "rat"! LOL

i too was born and raised in ny for my grduationd many moons ago my fav.uncle came and got me and took me to fla. where the story i told you took place. now back in ny waiting for hubby to retire so we can travel. where in ny do you live ? me upstate near syracuse.
