30GB iPod classic. Battery is pretty much dead, but many plays will replace the battery for cheap. Comes with over 1,500 songs preloaded, wide variety. Scratches on front and back, but it's almost 5+ years old so wear should be expected

I just need an ipod that I can keep on my alarm clock ipod dock 24/7, so that I can wake up to music... will this work for that? ...is the only problem that it wont stay charged once its off the ipod dock? ...If this will stay powered on and continue to work while plugged in, I would like to bid.

Even fully charged it more than likely work more than five minutes. I typically just used on a sound dock. So I'd advise getting the battery or going to a professional to have it replaced. As for the screen, they're just scratches.
