I write journals (and have since the 70s) and love fountain pens. I almost bought this same set just the other day! Would love to get these! Fanned and bidding!

Me too! Somehow, using a fountain pen gives a personality in my preference and value to what I write. My first experience using a fountain pen was in the 6th grade, in Athens, Tennessee.

I know what you mean about value. I write my journals for my descendents. Can you imagine if our ancestors had done the same, what precious little secrets they could have left behind? And people tell me I have beautiful penmanship...a fountain pen would just add to that. I had a complete set once, nibs, ink with bottle, the whole works. I loved it. I have no idea what became of it. These new sets with cartridges would eliminate the ink disbursement problem, I would think. Anyway, wonderful auction! Hope I win, but if not, I'm off to Walmart! Imagine buying a fountain pen at Walmart. LOL
