The listing, WWII MILITARY ARMY PIN! 1942-1945 has ended.

Back says Washingto DC, sterling, has some other writting, can't make out. I think it was a soldier pin. Front has a bird and Vincint QuI PRIMUM GERIT, was tilled up years ago out in the garden.The pin part is gone off of the back. UPDATE- 2/23/13---THIS IS AN UPDATE ,THANKS TO CAROLYNVOILES, AIR FORCE PIN, worn mid 1942- Nov, 1945.

This is from WWII Military Army Air Forces Pin, Worn From Mid 1942 - November 4 1945. It Has A Large Bird Carrying A Paratrooper Holding A Tommy Gun, That Represents The Command's Mission To Deliver Quickly The Soldiers Into Battle. The Design Is Based On The Approved Aircraft Markings And Distinctive Insignia, It Has The Latin Motto "Vincit qui Primum Gerit " On A Banner Across The Bottom, Which Means He Conquers Who Gets There First.

You are very welcome you could always research who owned your home during that time. A lot of family buried their loved ones things if they passed as respect to them. Hope that helps and yes very cool to keep around :)
