Arid-climate bromeliad with a huge flower spike of aqua-blue colored flowers. Part of the Sapphire Tower group of plants, its beauty is remarkable and a perfect accompaniment to its better known, sapphire colored relative.

Description: Arid-climate bromeliad, grows to 3-5ft, with a clumping habit. Leaves are long, with sharp teeth on their sides. Large flower stalks are born in spring and summer and may grow to several feet.

Hardiness: Can survive to 20-25F and does fairly well in hot temperatures as well.
Growing Environment: Needs minimal water once established. Grow in full sun or part shade.

Beautiful! Would this grow in full sun Houston? Are these seeds? How do you sew them, best planting time, watering etc. Sorry so many questions, I've never seen this.

I blv you can pretty much grow them any where a long as you have the right environment for them to grow..will give u info as to grow and yes these are seeds... Can survive to 20-25F and does fairly well in hot temperatures as well. Needs minimal water once established. Grow in full sun or part shade.
Plant type: evergreen soft-wooded perennial or succulent

Hardiness zones: 9-10

Sunlight: hot overhead sun

Soil Moisture: dry for extended periods to dry between watering

Soil: ordinary soil, enriched soil, mildly acidic to mildly alkaline

Tolerances: first line salt wind, light frost
