The listing, Puya chilensis Chilean Puya x 5 has ended.
Puya is easy to germinate. Any small container will do. You can use those plastic "6-pack" containers that nursery plants are sold in. For the soil i recommend a mix of 2 parts high-quality potting soil to 2 parts perlite, with 1 part horticultural sand, mixed well. Fill each container to within 1/2 of the top with soil. After filling the containers, water the soil so that it is uniformly moist, but not soggy. Place 1 seed on top, and sprinkle a very thin layer of soil on top - just enough to barely cover the seeds. Spray the top soil with a spray bottle and put the pots in a plastic bag and close it. Cut a couple of small holes in the bag for some ventilation. Place the pots in a bright spot that's about 65-70 degrees. The seeds need some light to germinate, such as a fluorescent bulb.
