Description

The listing, HUGE Gourd Seed has ended.

These are definately some of the biggest gourds I've run across. More than a bird house size, a whole flock could move in one of these. Easy to grow, freshly harvested seed. Great size for crafting, they make awesome bowls. Hard to find them this large, they are unreal. This auction is for eight seed, large nice ones. Time to get them started soon.
It costs me over three dollars to mail these and that does not include the cost of packaging and travel. I am asking for less than it costs me.

I was thinking of doing that with one of these. I just recently made a guitar out of a washtub, and a budweiser can....maybe the gourd will be next. However, I think the smaller gourds would be shaped more suitable for that, am still researching my options. Thanks for stopping by.

Interesting shape....it looks from the size and shape of it to be a kettle gourd...I have all kinds of gourds don't have this one yet.....would make a beautiful drum...I might need these seeds :)

I though kettle also, but then saw others that looked similar that were called other names, so am not sure. The vine had two gourds form on it and as you can see, both were huge. And this was random scattering with no fertilizer. I started to send you a couple of these but then I didn't know if you'd want since they are not exactly
"wild" lol. You have a thing or two im interested in also. Wait till this spring when I offer my wild white blackberries, yep, solid white when ripe, unreal, has been our biggest "find" yet. Will hit our local newspaper when we reveal it this spring.

Is my Little Jeremiah inside that gourd like he was inside my purse yesterday? He had his whole body just about inside my purse looking for cookies. You better give him what he wants or I've told him to bark, bark, bark until he gets exactly what he wants. And if you don't hurry up and give whatever he wants to him, to bark. bark, bark even after he gets it. He sure inhaled those fortune cookies we got at the Chinese restaurant, and the chicken, and the cat treats, and then thought we were trying to hide more treats inside my purse. He even looked in the big bag of booze we got too! Hey, that's one big Momma gourd too!!!!

And don't forget the squeaky toy either. Jeremiah is programmed now to insist on a squeaky toy. He loves his Aunt Bonnie so much! He's the sweetest little dog, and my baby. He wants some bread pudding too so you better give him a big bowl of it.

Or is the auction already for more than one seed? (I have a pretty good fail rate and I'm afraid I would kill the first learning how to grow it).

the auction is for eight seeds. If you have problems with them, i'd work with you however, I have a friend that has already been sprouting his so I know they are good seed. I am not a good gardener myself, lol. These plants grow big and grow fast. I figured eight seed was a pretty good batch and would take some room to grow em all.

I missed the part that said how many were included. I was thinking the auction was for one seed.

I and my sister do allot of gourd art :) The tops of the gourds are a little high for kettle gourds...I was even thinking they could be a cross between a kettle and a birdhouse gourd...gourds cross allot and it's cool I could fit one of my chickens in this birdhouse...hehe

it is WAY bigger than any birdhouse gourds, but who knows? I Love them.

y'know I would make one of the gourds into an "Outhouse" birdhouse! just carve it out and put a little crescent moon above the "door"
