This is a sapphire but to me it looks more like an onyx until it hits the sunlight.

brand new never worn tags still attached

absolutely nothing wrong with this ring, no flaws, scratches, or imperfections what-so-ever.

my only problem with the ring is that it is gold and i only wear silver

never heard of a black sapphire but it does look black until it hits the sunlight then you can see the blue in it. I thought it was onyx but it is not

truthfully I have never heard of a black sapphire before so I don't know if the stone is genuine or if it is lab created, sorry I could not be of more help. But it IS a sapphire although it does look black
