OK I admit it..I'm a city kid...so how much hair is in a 'lock' of horse hair?

How long is the hair? How thick a clump will it make with a rubberband
around it at the end? Am I even close to asking a right question?

I would ask for 2 black locks, as long as you can get them..without embarrassing the poor horsie. If the white hairs are a lot longer than the black, I would ask for two white locks...the length is most important...I can dye them black...yes? I need straight long hair for a full size Indian doll I am going to try to make....or is the soral beast the one with the longest hairs? Please explain to the
ladies/gentlemen (?) that it's nothing personal. I am sure they are all equally
