They say this tree can save the world,it can grows 8 to 12 feet a year,they can reach a height of 50 feet but most are 30 to 40 feet ,they have a beautiful lavender flower in spring,this tree can live 80 to 100 years,very fast growing,there are beautiful pics on ebay of the tree,this is a pic of one of the trees starting out this auction is for a lot of 20 seeds seeds harvested sept 2012 i always seed mor than 20 seeds zones 3-11

you are in zone 5 but sopme parts fall into a 4 zone ,the trere does best in zones 5-9,but there are some info i found it can grow through zones 3-11

It may not do to good Iowa is zone 4a to zone 5a,but i have read it will do ok in zones 3 to 5, best zones are 5 to 11b
