You have to have your 360 connected to the internet for the backwards compatibility to work. It doesn't matter which model you have.

My son really wants this game not me.

I am not sure if it's the list for older one (Xbox 360) or upgrades(Slim Model). I have the new slim model and I am praying that this game will play on it. I got that info directly from xbox.com website

I didn't know they had any kind of backwards list, haha. My husband stuck it in our XBox 360 yesterday to see if it would run & it wouldn't ..

My pleasure, Microsoft Xbox is constantly working to make the older games compatible with the newer systems. The biggest problem is getting the emulators to work with the newer emulators and trying to get them all to work together. Just give it some time and I'm sure all original Xbox games will be available.

Actually, it is now on the backwards compatibility list. So it will play in Xbox 360.
