These large 4-5" brilliant yellow blooms on 3 ft. tall plants make quite a show. They will bloom through a long, hot summer without wilting, They are excellent for large pots. The color last a long time before fading.

For long, hot summers, nothing beats zinnias for brilliant color and a long blooming period. They are drought tolerant and excellent massed in flowerbeds or in containers.

Zinnias are very easy to grow, but may be susceptible to mildew in humid climates. Making sure that sprinklers don't hit them overnight or early in the morning will help prevent mildew. In all climates, it is preferable to being watered by soaking from bottom to keep leaves dry.

Zinnias are low maintenance plants, but deadheading will extend the bloom period. Some gardeners recommend topping tall varieties when young have produced 3 pairs of leaves. This will encourage basal branching and bushy plants. Remember ------ Zinnias need full sun.
