Yes games work fine I just don't know about dvds

They can read CDs and DVDs, I've had one of these when I was 8 years old, I'd use it for so many applications. I must warn you however if you do run across a disk read error, you will have to take the system apart and clean the lens. I found out way too late as my dad made me throw my fat boy out and got me a slim. I miss the good ol' fat boy PS2s. Lol
