In October 2002, 10,000 “Deception Dollars” were printed and given away at the big anti-war march in San Francisco; people loved them. When they ran out, improvements were made and an additional 100,000 were printed and distributed at the next march in January 2003 (and we ran out of them in San Francisco). The Deception Dollars were created as a portal to the best information on the internet that we have found on “911”. The websites embodied in the artwork provide a great starting place for research, discussion, organizing opportunities and essential networking.
