I'm a Japanese and recognize this kind a pot. They use it at restaurants. You should put up the pic of label if you could for authenticity.

Sorry I have made a mistake. I meant to post the comment above to someone else's auction. As a matter of fact, this kind of pot is something I never seen in Japan. The ones used in restaurants in Japan are much taller and cylinder shaped. I might have seen this kind at Chinese resaurant in NY though.
