Description

The listing, NINTENDO N64 Memory Expansion Pak TESTED IT WORKS! has ended.

This is for a NINTENDO 64 Memory Expansion Pak. This is tested, working, and in great condition.

Cosmetically, on the protruding side of the orange plate, there is a pen mark where it looks like a previous owner tried to remove it with a ball point pen (not effecting performance whatsoever).

This will be shipped in a bubble mailer envelope, wrapped with a layer of bubble wrap inside the envelope.

(WIKIPEDIA DESCRIPTION)

The Expansion Pak allows the random access memory (RAM) of the Nintendo 64 console to increase from 4 MB (megabytes) to 8 MB of contiguous main memory. The add-on was released in 1998 and contains 4 MB RDRAM, the same type of memory used inside the console itself. By increasing system memory, there is potential for enhancements to games designed with the added RAM storage in mind. The Expansion Pak is installed in a port on top of the Nintendo 64 and replaces the pre-installed Jumper Pak, which is simply a RAMBUS terminator.

A few games, including Rare's Donkey Kong 64 and Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask require it to run. Capcom's Resident Evil 2 used the Expansion Pak for making areas of the game and monsters more detailed. Perfect Dark had limited gameplay options when the Expansion Pak was not present. Supporting games usually offered higher video resolutions or higher textures and/or higher color depth. It was used in StarCraft 64 to unlock levels from the popular Brood War add-on for the PC version of the game. Many games such as Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine optionally used the Expansion Pak to add a high resolution 640x480 display mode for games, while other games saw the benefit of a smoother frame rate. The Expansion Pak was available separately as well as bundled with Donkey Kong 64. In Japan, the Expansion Pak was additionally bundled with Zelda: Majora's Mask and Perfect Dark, though the games were also available separately in other regions.

I have a pile of these, I'll probably just keep listing them. I didn't know until recently that people wanted these so bad.

Not to often with n64 stuff. I just started doing video games recently. I usually list non-sports cards or vintage toys.

I'll list another one soon, all the ones I have are with systems or promised to others at the swap meet. When I have one left over, or when I get more. For now, this is the only one I can spare to Listia, sorry.

we still have a 64 but not this part of course we still have our original nintendo system and super system too now we have the wii but we never really play any of them LOL not sure why we keep upgrading =) as for all asking to lower days, I like your response. it gives folks who are not on every day a chance to look up items. Also, if someone finds something they really want, it gives them a chance to post an auction for lesser days for a chance to build up credits to bid. Its your auction, you run it how you want as long as you dont go against Listia policies, folks shouldnt have a problem with it. you got 100% trusted seller with nearly 500 feedbacks. keep it up happy Listiaing =)
