Stunningly beautiful handcrafted necklace.
The shell is exquisitely carved into a rose. It is 2 inches diameter.
There is a cluster of pale green translucent beads of a semi-precious stone at the top of the rose.
There are more of the same beads along the chain, as well as other light green beads, of a different semi-precious stone.
The chain itself is 16 inches with an addition 1.25 inches extension. This means that with an average ladies' neck being around 14.5 inches circumference, the rose will sit at that point where the clavicle ends meet at the center base of the neck. This is an elegant look with most tops' necklines.
It comes in a white jewel gift box.
I purchased this about 12 years ago from a local artisan but never wore it. I paid $30 at that time.
