I can't believe there are people out there that are throwing a ***** about getting FREE STUFF!!!!! If this item rtequired a money order to ship wouldn't youo( the biddsers) at least get a US POSTAL MONEY Order if trhat what was agreed apon? Anyhow, thanks for the defense, All I asked was for the bidders to send a US Postal Money Order/ or Concealed cash, He didn't want to send it after he agreed to it and sent a mongrel kind, and wonders why he hasn't received his item yet. I responded to him telling him of the mistake and options to rectify the situation, but he refuses to be a man of his word. Now he is in dispute, but will not keep his word and send the accurate shipping fees.

crazynitz when I first saw this list it took me back to that horrible day of death of our family and friends and some could have lived had these radio's worked as stated. My comments are not made to be malicious in any way, but to make sure NO ONE take these radio's to be as we did an avenue to help because there not.
Reading the words "these are top of the line folks" in your description cut me deep because those are the EXACT words the guy said to us when we brought 6 sets of them, just two hours before three drunk teenagers drag racing hit our convoy head on on the highway.
Again this was not meant to hurt you or you bids but to make sure others don't make the mistake on thinking these are all they need to have peace of mind.

First Please let me say I'm sorry for your loss on that terrible day. I agree, People should not rely on this unit as their MAIN source of technology to reach the outside World. God Forbid anyone go through anything Serious like that, Always make sure you have a cell phone to contact Emergency Response ANYTIME you travel, even if it's just down the road. . they are the LXT110 model with the following options:\
Channel Scan/ Auto Squelch/ Keypad Lock/ eVOX Hands-Free Operation/ Battery Life Extender.

I NEVER Try to Cheat my bidders out of anything. Ilooked on the package, and that's where all of my info about the units came from. I didn't see a date, looked on the website, and found the manuals, and nothing said they were discontinued. They are brand new in an unopened box. I had No Idea that the warranty was not valid. Where did you get your info from, so that I may read it as well. Thanks for getting me up to speed with these as I bought mine ( the pair that I use ) 4 yrs ago.

I have these too they work fine for a while (about 6 months) but be aware they are discontinued so you wont be able to get support for these or parts if needed, and forget about 12 miles you MIGHT get 3 in the city limits, on a highway maybe a mile, battery life good charge good.

Actually Range is determined by obstructions of sight. The most MAXIMUM Range is for a stretch of space with NO Line of Sight Obstruction at all ; a long stretch of road w/ little traffic or a highway clear of rush hour traffic, Then MEDIUM Range/ Partial obstruction to the line of sight; a subdivision or around apartment buildings, and SHORT Range/ Major Obstruction to the line of sight; such as a City Or Township where there are tall buildings and lots of other Radio Traffic, traffic, people walking w excessive cell phone use. The air traffic has a lot of bearing to the path the sound waves travel. I own a pair of these and they have worked every time I needed them. I usually make 3-5 trips from Virginia to Massachusetts and Back again by car and 17' Box Truck; the Radios have been great for me and my companions.
