Questions & Comments
Bill Wilson, the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, used a Ouija board and conducted seances in attempts to contact the dead.
I had made a trade with another vendor at an antique shop where I have a booth and I have actually never used it. My son kept telling me it creaped him out so...it's here now!
Are ghosts included with this...hehe...I love the paranormal and this is an amazing looking board! I also happen to be a scaredy cat! :D HAHAH good luck with the auction...if my fears are put aside I will happily bid!
The strange talk about the boards from Fuld's competitors flooded the market, and all these boards enjoyed a heyday from the 1920s through the 1960s. Fuld sued many companies over the "Ouija" name and concept right up until his death in 1927. In 1966, Fuld's estate sold the entire business to Parker Brothers, which was sold to Hasbro in 1991, and which continues to hold all trademarks and patents. About ten brands of talking boards are sold today under various names. This board was made by Parker brothers and has no date anywhere on the board. So it would be older than 1991, but the conditon of the box which is good suggests it was taken care of but no actual date can be found on pkg. It's a mystery...win it and you could ask how old it is!!
Just gotta love these things-a bit of respect isn't a bad idea either! You've really got something and it's only a matter of time before the credits start piling up like the pea soup barf in the Exorcist! Last one I saw on here went for over 10,000 credits. I wish the same success for you- so please don't mention me to Captain Howdy! I believe this is a late 70s set going by the box coloring-mine was from 74 or 75 and the sides were morre of a manila envelope color.Hope this helps.
