This vintage postcard was mailed from Weatherford, TX on October 9, 1957 and is from my childhood postcard collection. Stamp has fallen off or been removed with no injury to the card. There is minor wear at the corners and slight aging, however.
Text reads: "White Shadows" Gardens of Douglas Chandor. Weatherford, Texas (Open Year-Round). Now almost as famous as the portraits of Douglas Chandor are the beautiful and peaceful "Garden Rooms" created by the well-known painter. Around this lower pool, there is a a hedge of clipped, white azalea, overhead an acre of trained wisteria transforms this one rocky gully into a world of fantasy.
