The listing, Milkweed ✽ ICE BALLET ✽ 10 Seeds ✽ Organic Butterfly Host has ended.
This is the pride and joy of my butterfly garden! I have raised hundreds of Monarch butterflies with this perennial. These are seeds from a great Butterfly Flower, ICE BALLET, White Marsh Milkweed. This, and other varieties of milkweed, are the only plants that Monarch Butterflies lay their young. Watch the underside of leaves closely for emerging caterpillars. The blooms are soft white and scent the air with vanilla. They follow the season with large seed pods that blow in the wind. Seed pods can be collected for next year, or left to naturalize. They prefer moist soil, and grow in wet areas, where other milkweeds will not. I do not water mine, they tend to be very drought tolerant in my zone. They are reliable bloomers and reproduce very well, giving you years of enjoyment. Aphids can become a nuisance some seasons, but can be picked off easily. They are very hardy and very little care is needed. I believe the "strong shall survive" in my garden. You will appreciate my motto!
