PLEASE READ ALL SO ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED! I purchased this last year on ebay when I was planning to refine gold with my gold refining kit. I'd buy old gold filled eyeglasses, broken watches etc. because I wanted to seperate the gold. Gold filled items have MUCH MORE gold content then plated. This necklace/chain was listed as 18kt. gold filled. The seller had all positive feedbacks into the thousands! One day when I was selling a few pieces of gold to a gold buyer, he informed me that he buys gold filled items as well. I went to my car and came back with this necklace. He immediately said "Wow! That looks real! You would be rich if it were!" He then took his loupe and looked it over and said, "Sorry. I will not buy items that are not stamped. It is the law they be stamped!" I told him I never bothered to look for a stamp but that it did come from another country. He informed that that did not matter. When ebay has high volume sellers, they don't like to rock the boat. I am sure several buyers would have to had made reports about the lack of the stamp. But there are no humans that work at ebay! They have a handful of 14 year olds answering the phone, and if a small seller OR a buyer has a complaint, they can write, call, write and it falls on deaf ears! AND if ebay does not want to hear about it for fear of them, (ebay) lose money, it is swept under the preverbial rug! With this said, I can tell you that this chain looks incredible, real, and to have such a real golden look and feel, perhaps it does contain some 18 karat gold. I will not swear to it. I will always be as absolutely honest and clear as possible on my listings! I have seen other neckchains here on listia that tell you up front there is no gold in them, and they are going for hundreds of credits! This one surpasses them in looks and quality, (my opinion).It is 20 inches long. THERE IS NO STAMP!
