Description
The listing, Confederate Money has ended.
Two Confederate $1000 bills framed. My brother and sister found a big pile of these in an old car about 40 years ago. My parents sent all but these 2 bills to the Smithsonian. My Mom had them in the family Bible for all these years. I took them out and framed them after my parents passed away.
Questions & Comments
This will be free shipping if I send without the frame.
I did a little research on these bills. They are not from cherios boxes. The were made for the Civil War Centennial celebration. What that means is that they were produced between 1960-65. Until 1970, reproductions were allowed. After that, there had to be something on the bill to identify them as reproductions.
Just to be clear, these are reproductions. There were only 607 actual $1000 C.S.A. bills produced in the 1860's. What you have here are most likely the Cheerios Cereal Reprints made in 1954. Still, they're very cool.
