Sow indoors before last frost.
A very tall species of Lily native to Eastern USA.

Has linear to lance shaped, mid to deep green borne in whorls on stems mottled with greenish purple. Bears pendant, turkscap (strongly recurved petals), reddish orange, unscented flowers, spotted with purple.

Flowers July - September

Loves moist but well-drained, neutral to acid soil in sun or light shade. Will form a large clump where happy.
