IT CLOSES WITH A LOBSTER CLAW. I HAVE NOT FOUND ANY MARKINGS ON IT TO SAY IT IS STERLING BUT IT SURE LOOKS LIKE IT IS. COMES DISPLAYED IN A VERY NICE GIFT BOX.
