Description
The listing, Vintage Micro Mosaic Brooch has ended.
For auction is a vintage micro mosaic brooch. Most like this are from Italy, but this one is not marked and I don't know the history. The colors are beautiful and the craftsmanship to make is amazing. It measures 1" x 1" oval and the back is gold tone.
Questions & Comments
the peices look big on this pin there about the size of a pin point the real ones i dont think it is made in italy at all nice pin but not a old country micro mosaic the peices are too big
This photo is 3 x's larger than the actual size The pin is 1" x 1". The pin is also much brighter than this and color areas numerous pieces. Will try to put new picture on with more detail. Not sure where it is from as stated in description.
This is indeed lovely, but it does look a bit 'loosely placed', and slightly as if there had been a repair. in 1 area. I really would like to see a 'side view'. I've been making comparisons for a few days now, and the 'technique' seems a bit unpolished... almost as though this might be one of the earlier works. i hate to ask, considering how close we are to the end of the auction, but could I trouble you to add a side view photo or two? I wish to see how 'smooth' the surface appears from the side, and whether or not it appears to be 'domed'. Also ... do you accept PayPal for shipping charges?
Hi, I made some photos of the sides but it will not let me load them because it is to close to the end. If you want to give me your email address, I will send message with attachments.
Lisa I LOVE your auctions - you always have the best stuff - stuff *I* love! LOL ;) You accept paypal, correct? :) I'll be bidding to win on this tomorrow :)
Also ... MANY of these Millefiori Micro Mosaics were not signed, I personally possess an unsigned authentic example. So not being signed speaks nothing of the authenticity. Considering the appearance of the backside, and the simplicity of the pin mechanism, not to mention the pitting in some of the pieces, I have no doubt as to this piece's authenticity. Bearing in mind that the seller isn't making any claim one way or the other, as she does not know the history of the brooch.
