Based on Pennhurst State School and Hospital in Spring City, Pennsylvania, Someone Save Me follows Wendy and her room mates during their time at Shenandoah Lodge State Hospital. Wendy discovers her first day at the hospital that things aren’t as they seem, and when she meets her room mate the first night, knows right off she doesn’t belong. Her room mate, Becca, hears singing in a foreign language constantly and zones out; when the time comes for her treatments, Wendy realizes just how bad the hospital is. She meets another patient, Will, the second day she is there, only to find out he is much different than he lets on to be. Once Wendy’s treatments begin, there is no doubt left in her mind the hospital is beyond explanation. Several months after she arrives, Wendy and Becca get another room mate, this time a tall albino girl named Sydney. The three of them stick together, feeling the safety in numbers against the horrors the staff permit to happen.
