Sadly, new people don't seem to get the same prices for things as those who are completely verified and have built a reputation. I went through this when I started. My advice start small until you have your wings, are completely verified and have a few auctions under your belt. I went through the same thing when I first starting listing things. It took me a few auctions to figure out how to post a minimum bid. Like janetwoolsey said, start off with a few small items until you get your wings and are completely verified. People tend to bid more when they see you are trustworthy. Fanned and watching. Is your home smoke free? I have allergies and asthma so I have to ask if it isnt listed. Also do you take paypal? I saw that you are new and a tip I have for new users is to put as much info in the description as possible. Not just about the item but info like the questions I asked as well about payment methods ect. Your pics are good so you are all ready ahead of the game on that one. I understand the shipping fee because I charge shipping too but unfortunately people don't bid as high on items with shipping period. I have found that out after a year of using listia.
