The listing, VINTAGE HANDMADE TABLE CLOTH has ended.

Hand made vintage table cloth. Hand embroidered with wool. The stitches used in this pattern are, Chain Stitch, French Knots, Fly Stitch, Lazy Daisy Stitch, Running Stitch, and Whip Stitch. Embroidered on a heavy weight linen. Size of the table cloth is 38" X 41". Adorned with 16 flowers, 3 1/4" in size. The gold braid on this piece is high quality. The hem was hand finished and has some fraying. However, there is enough fabric, which can be whipped stitched by hand, with only the gold braid showing, not the hem line. It does have some age stains, I have not tried to remove, which is not my expertise. There are several pictures, to show the beauty and flaws of this piece. I can imagine a wonderful woman making this, way before TV was invented, to create an heirloom for her family. I would keep it as is, however it does not fit in my home decor color wise. Feel free to ask questions. I will answer to the best of my ability. I did picture the right and wrong side of this piece to show the handwork which was used on this table cloth. I thank you Miss Rita! My intent of turning lose of this beautiful handmade table cloth, is perhaps trying to pay it forward. A reminder, of days gone by. In the 1800's or early 1900's days without electricity, inside toilets, tv, telephones, internet, none of that is needed to leave your mark on this side. I only wish I could sit down and learn the lessons and life of the person who made this. I am sure I would get great simple wisdom, the basics, to last a lifetime. Thank You, Vicky
