Description

The listing, My Heirloom *Liars* Tomato 12 seeds has ended.

I have my own * Heirloom Liars tomatoes ,big tasty tomato.
My husband named them *Liars* tomato, because a life long friend of his gave us some tomatoes & told me to save the seeds from it so I could plant my own. He said they were the same seeds his dad always planted for years. He just saves seeds every year and plants. But my husband says you can't believe a word he says..Jokingly... hence, *The Liars tomato*
So have I planted these for the last 2 years..Best tasting tomato!!! And I LOVE Tomatoes
Fits a sandwich perfect!
My plants last year were over 6 ft.tall the first plant in the second photo is the Liars tomato. .with close to softball size fruit. This will be my 3rd year for these. They are a later tomato but so worth the wait! the last photo is this years seedlings.

Hi, I am just being nosy.... It looks like you stake your tomatoes rather than using a cage? If so, how do you do that? And what are the white bottles in the photos? I am an avid gardener, always looking for new ideas! Thanks

Yes we stake the tomatoes, we put a piece if rebar in the ground beside the plant and just tie it up to that. I have tried cages and they always out grow it and fall over. Those are milk jugs, I poked a pin hole in the corner and filled with water each day to water them, that way they got a gallon of water slowly everyday.

Thank you so much for the great ideas!! We will try your method this year for sure. I love the watering concept. I bet it helps to keep the tomatoes from splitting.
