I have a 7" Amazon Kindle Fire up for free. This is a full color Kindle. I bought this from amazon for $199 - See receipt below.
Here's the deal:
This Kindle was dropped so as you can see, the screen is cracked. It still has power as you can see by the picture with the power light on. The screen itself lights up but you can't see anything specific.

Go to Amaxon.com and search for Kindle Fire Touch Screen Digitalizer Repair Kit. They start at $27.88. It should be an easy repair and its cheap.

I would hate to throw it away after spending so much money on it.

Because I already replaced it with an iPad. This was my 16 yr old daughters Xmas present 2 yrs ago. It has been sitting on my dresser since it broke. I'm not one of those ppeople who will go through all that hassle. We just bought a replacement and moved on. My laziness is your gain. That's why you get to fix it and have a kindle fire for free.

we went thru the same thing my daughters got ran over by her brother bike in cracked the screen we thought that it was a goner but only had to spend 35.00 to repair the broke screen now she does not that it out of her site ever btw good luck on your auction

Wow that sux :-( on something so awesome too!! I won my kindle fire on here and I LOVE IT!!! It would tear my heart out if I dropped mine and I didn't even put any money out for it...just credits..but even still...RIGHT!!! I feel your pain...lol good luck with this auction hon and what will that screen digitizer repair kit do? Just curious!

It will replace the broken screen and thing that connects the screen to the electrical stuff inside. And ya it does suck.

when I took it in they told me I need the stuff I listed and they would fix it for $100. it may not be an easy fix for everyone. need to know how to do it then it should be easy enough. again if you bid, yiu need to have done this before or know what your doing.

I fixed mine I needed both repair kits. I spent around $35.00 and it is brand new again. I did invest in a heavy duty case.. Watching

that's awesome. They are really pretty inexpensive to repair if you do it yourself. Even if you take it to a shop its under $100 so its still worth it either way. most tech people will be able to fix this. I'm glad you were able to fix yours. That's a lot of cash to lose.

Dropped it on the kitchen floor. No instructions or paperwork. Uses a small USB charger and I have that. Otherwise, what you see in the picture is what you get.

There is no warranty from Amazon if you drop it. Only factory defects.

i was really thinking about this, so i called best buy and a couple of other computer shops who do repair. Best buy says they normally tell the person it would be cheaper to buy a new one, and the computer shop says they parts for repair are over $100, plus labor. If anyone has a cheaper way without doing it yourself, let me know. I dont think i want to do it myself.

The cheaper way is to do it yourself. That is why you would buy the part from Amazon. It is the same as if you replace your Iphone Screen and Digitalizer. If you are not a bit tech savvy then I probably would't bid on this. I personally have changed out my own Android cell phone screen so to me this would be an easy fix for someone who knows about replacing screens. The cost then only begins at $27.88.
