This is new, never opened. I purchased 2, and it works just as it should. It's powered by 3 AA Batteries (not included). Has a built in hair collection canister. You can use it on any pet you have.The Shed Pal is the innovatative way to control shedding. Shed Pal's quite motor gently pulls shedding hair into the Hair Collection Canister for no mess! The secret is the massaging nubs that gently gather the hair, and leave your pets coat clean, and shiny. My pet sat easily while I brushed her. The motor is pretty quite. I simply opened the collection canister, emptied all the pet hair, and grooming time completed.
